Wreath Ornament

 


Materials needed
WW yarn – 30 yards green, scrap amount of red.
Suggested yarn: Caron simply soft in green sparkle and red sparkle
1.75mm hook
Yarn needle

Size: 2” when made with the suggested thread and hook size.

Stitch abbreviations
MR: magic ring
Ch: chain
St(s): stitch(es)
Sc: single crochet
Inc: increase
Dec: decrease
(): repeat same stitches
[] sts in same st
FO: fasten off

Wreath
Make 1 – in green.
Round 1: Ch x 20, join with a slst to form a circle. (20)
Round 2-4: Sc x 20. (20)
Round 5: (Sc x 3, sc dec x 1) x 4. (16)
Round 6-7: Sc x 16. (16)
Round 8: (Sc x 3, sc inc x 1) x 4. (20)
Round 9-11: Sc x 20. (20)
FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Flip the piece so the wrong side is facing out. Wrap some yarn loosely around the center and then flip the ends in so they are touching and sew them together to create the wreath shape.


Bow
Make 1 – in red.
Row 1: Ch x 30. (30)
FO & trim ends. Sew to the wreath in desired position.

Make a loop for your ornament by threading a small piece of red yarn through the top of the wreath.
