Bitty Kitty




This free pattern is for the small, sitting cat pictured.

Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn - approx. 120 yards gray.
- Suggested hook size: 3.25mm (D)
- 2 x 9mm safety eyes 
- Pink embroidery floss
- 14g floral wire (optional)

My kitty measures approximately 5.5” tall when made with the above materials. 

You can use any weight yarn or thread that you are comfortable using, just adjust your hook size accordingly.  

Stitch abbreviations:
Sc: single crochet
Inc: increase
Dec: decrease
MR: magic ring
FO: fasten off

**Pattern is worked in continuous rounds.**

Head and Body 
The head and body are crocheted in one piece starting with the head. 
R1: 7 sc in MR (7) 
R2: sc inc x 7 (14) 
R3: (1 sc, sc inc) x 7 (21) 
R4: (2 sc, sc inc) x 7 (28) 
R5: (3 sc, sc inc) x 7 (35) 
R6-12: 35 sc (35) 
R13: (3 sc, sc dec) x 7 (28) 
R14: (2 sc, sc dec) x 7 (21) 
R15: (1 sc, sc dec) x 7 (14) 
Place safety eyes between rows 10 & 11, 6 stitches apart.
Stuff head then continue on to the body. 
R16: 14 sc (14) 
R17: (1 sc, sc inc) x 7 (21) 
R18: (2 sc, sc inc) x 7 (28) 
R19-23: 28 sc (28) 
R24: (2 sc, sc dec) x 7 (21) 
R25: (1 sc, sc dec) x 7 (14) 
Stuff the body. 
R26: sc dec x 7 (7) 
FO with long tail. Whip stitch FLO to close.

Arms 
(Make 2)

R2: (1 sc, sc inc) x 2 (8)

*Stuff, FO with long tail and sew to the body, under the head. 

Feet
(Make 2) 
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R4-5: 18 sc (18) 
R6: 5 sc, sc dec x 4, 5 sc (14) 
R7: 5 sc, sc dec x 2, 5 sc (12)

R9: (1sc, sc dec) x 4 (8) 
Stuff, FO with long tail and sew to the front of the body. 

Ears
(Make 2) 
R1: 4 sc in MR (4) 
R2: (1 sc, sc inc) x 2 (6)
R3: (2 sc, sc inc) x 2 (8)
R4: (3 sc, sc inc) x 2 (10)
R5: (4 sc, sc inc) x 2 (12)

FO with long tail, flatten (do not stuff) and sew to the head.

Tail 
R1: 6 sc in MR (6) 
R2-15: 6 sc (6)
R16: (2 sc, sc inc) x 2 (8)

R17: 8 sc (8)
*Stuff & FO with long tail. Insert wire (optional) & sew to the back of the body. 


Muzzle
Make 2
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Sew to the face next to each other & embroider a nose in the middle.
