Theo the teddy bear


Theo the teddy bear - amigurumi crochet pattern.

Materials needed:
Bernat Baby Velvet Yarn in Pale Gray – approximately 150 yards
4mm (G) hook
2 x 15mm safety eyes
1 x 13mm safety nose (or black embroidery floss)
Yarn needle
Poly-fil

Size: 8” sitting, 10” standing when made with the suggested yarn and hook size.

Dec: single crochet dec

BLO: crochet in back loop only

Round 19: Stuff, the arm about 3/4 of the way, leaving the top unstuffed. Pinch closed and sc x 6 across, closing the top of the leg.
FO, leaving long tail for sewing. Sew to the sides of the body, 1 round under the head.

Muzzle
Make 1
Round 1: Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc x 3, [sc x 3] in next st, working on the opposite side of the ch, sc x 3, sc inc x 1 (12)
Round 2: sc inc x 1, sc x 3, sc inc x3, sc x 3, sc inc x 2 (18)
Round 3: (Sc x 2, sc inc x 1) x 6 (24)
Rounds 4-6: Sc x 24 (24)
FO, leaving a tail for sewing. Insert safety nose. 
Sew to the face, adding some stuffing before you close.
Alternatively, you can embroider the nose using black embroidery floss.

Ears
Make 2.
Round 1: Sc x 6 in MR (6)
Round 2: Sc inc x 6 (12)
Round 3: (Sc x 1, sc inc x 1) x 6 (18)
Round 4: (Sc x 2, sc inc x 1) x 6 (24)
Rounds 5-7: Sc x 24(24)
Round 8: (Sc x 4, sc dec x 1) x 4 (20)
Round 9: Sc x 20 (20)
FO, leaving tail for sewing. 
Flatten the ears (do not stuff) and sew to the head on either side.
